Agnes Panepucci Obituary

Agnes Marie Panepucci, 93, of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital after a brief illness.

Agnes was born September 30, 1925, in Piney Fork and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Gondek) Slivenski. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Christina and siblings Joseph, John and Irene (Fillippi). She is survived by her husband of 71 years John and their children Domenic (Charlene), Jon Dino (Sharon) and Susan Plinta (Joe).  She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Vanessa, Christopher (Kaiti) and Brent Panepucci; Nicholas (Amanda), Benjamin and Zachary Panepucci and Kay (Jason) Plinta-Howard.

Her husband and family considered her a beautiful, strong and caring wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a very talented seamstress, baker and cook with a never ending drive to always better herself.  Agnes worked several years for the Jefferson County Court.  She also had a number of close friendships that she treasured a great deal. Agnes was a lifelong member of St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church as well as a member of the CWC and the Rosary Society. 

Visitation will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 3-7 pm. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated and held at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Dillonvale on Wednesday at 11 am with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church, Dillonvale, Ohio.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 6th floor of Wheeling Hospital for their compassionate care.
