Obituary for Alberta M. Burlenski

Alberta M. (Hudimac) Burlenski of Lafferty, Ohio died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Wheeling Hospital following a brief illness.  Alberta was born in Barton, Ohio on August 13, 1934, the daughter of the late Karol and Mary Tkacik Hudimac. In addition to her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.

Surviving are her husband, Chester (Bob) Burlenski, Jr., sons Bob (Tammy) Burlenski of Adena, Ed Burlenski of St. Clairsville, granddaughters Monica (Christin) Mann of Pataskala, Ohio, Mara (Dee) Bowman of Canton, Ohio and great-granddaugher Alyssa Arraujo of Pataskala, Ohio.

Alberta was a retired bookkeeper from King’s Jewelers in Wheeling, WV.  She also served as secretary for the former St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lafferty, and was currently a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Wolfhurst, Ohio.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, and Monday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Bridgeport, Ohio 43912.  A mass of Christian burial will be held at the St. Joseph’s Church, Wolfhurst, Ohio at 10:00 am with concelebrants Father John Mucha and Father Frederick Kihm.  Interment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty, Ohio immediately following the funeral mass.  Online condolences may be made through, www.wilsonfuneralhomes.com
