Anthony J. “Tony” Lagon 71 of Bridgeport, died Monday February 12, 2018 at The John Heinz Veterans Hospital Pittsburgh. He was born October 10, 1946 in Wheeling, a son of the late Anthony and Mary Louise (Fabry) Lagon.
He was a retired Postal Service employee, a Catholic by faith, a Vietnam Veteran in the US Army where he was a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He also received the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Civil Action Honor Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit, and the Army Good Conduct Metal. He was also a member of the Bellaire American Legion.
Tony is survived by his loving wife Gail “Debbie” (Everson) Lagon, a son Justin (Danielle) Lagon of Tiltonsville, a daughter Marissa Lagon of Cincinnati, a grandson Bryce Lagon.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Friday February 16, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Saturday at 10 am with Fr. John Mucha officiating, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Full military graveside will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
