Betty Kubovicz Obituary

Betty Louise Speidel Kubovicz 89, of Bridgeport died Tuesday November 13, 2018 at Forest Hill Care Center. She was born February 21, 1929 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late James and Wilma (Tate) Speidel.

  She was a member of the Kirkwood United Methodist Church. She was also a retired employee of Martins Ferry Hospital, Red Cross, and Seeing Hand Association. Betty was a simple unselfish lady. She was Valedictorian of Bridgeport High School Class of 1946, and tutored soldiers coming back from the war to help them get their High School diplomas.

  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank Kubovicz in 1998, a son-in-law Bradley Boord, a brother Edward Speidel, and a sister Shirley Griffin.

  Betty is survived by her children Robert Kubovicz of Bridgeport, and a daughter Susan Boord of Wheeling, a granddaughter Kimber Leigh Boord, and three brothers James (Bev) Speidel Jr. of Wheeling, Kenneth (Patsy) Speidel of St. Mary’s WV, and Ronald Speidel of Columbus.

  According to Betty’s wishes there will be no public visitation and funeral services will be private. Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Bridgeport assisting the family.
