Charles L. “Chuck” Huonker, 62, of Bridgeport died Friday December 14, 2018 at his home. He was born December 3, 1956 in Martins Ferry, a son of the late Matthias “Oz” and Joan “Poo” (Warden) Huonker.
He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co. Mingo Plant, a member of Bridgeport Methodist Church, a US Army Veteran, and a member of Bridgeport American Legion Post # 995.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Sharon Subasic.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife Susan (Orth) Huonker, Children Rachele (Matthew) Frickey of Augusta, Ga, Mylissa Roberts of Lansing, LeeAnn (Matthew) Cass of Kensington, MD, Matthias (RoiAnn) Huonker of Triadelphia, Kara Ward, and David (Jennifer) Ward Jr. both of Bridgeport, ten grandchildren, Tyler, Kayleigh, and Gavyn Roberts, Liam, and Maxim Frickey, Henry and Arlo Cass, Ella Crow, and Eden Huonker, and Liam Ward, siblings Kathryn (Allan) Woods of Wheeling, James (Sharon) Huonker of Bellaire, and Mary Jane Banyas of Dillonvale, also several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Monday December 17, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am with Rev. James Hoff officiating, interment in Weeks Cemetery Bridgeport. Full military graveside will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
