Frank "Jerry" G. Bench

Frank G. “Jerry” Bench, 80, of Bridgeport, OH, died Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Forest Hills Care Center in St. Clairsville, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born July 4, 1939 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Frank and Louise (Marx) Bench.

He was a retired employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Yorkville Plant with 39 years of service, he was also a former employee of Wilson Funeral Home, a member of the First Presbyterian Church, St Clairsville, where he served as a deacon. Jerry was a member of the Grand Lodge F&AM of Ohio Weyer Lodge #541 Centerville, Osiris Shrine of Wheeling, Grand Council Royal and Select Masons of Ohio, The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Ohio, Hope Commandry #26 Knights Templar of Bridgeport, Bellaire Chapter #107 Royal Arch Masons, Secret Vault of Bellaire Council #87, all of these for over 50 years. He also was a graduate of St. Clairsville High School Class of 1957.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Bench, and brother-in-law Christ Pashalis.

Survived are his loving wife of 50 years, Nettie (Muklewicz) Bench, a son Kevin (Rebbeca) Bench of Bridgeport, two loving grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Bench, and a sister-in-law Brenda Pashalis of Bridgeport.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside on Tuesday, September 3rd, from 1 to 8 p.m. with Masonic services at 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 at 11a.m. with Rev. Tim Wilt officiating.  Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America 322 8th Avenue 16th Floor New York, NY 10001.
