Mary Shepherd Obituary

 

Mary Ann Shepherd, 84, of Bridgeport, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 in Forest Hills Care Center.  She was born in East Liverpool on November 13, 1933 a daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Andrewshevitz) Gibas.  She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic church.  Mary Ann was a Registered Nurse for many years and later was associated with Mary the Northwood Behavioral Health Center as a Registered Nurse.  Her dedication and loving care changed the lives of so many people.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Shepherd; a daughter, Joanne (Mark Subasic) Shepherd all of Bridgeport; 3 sons, Thomas (Jeanne) Shepherd of Stoneville, NC, Patrick (Arleen) Shepherd of Baltimore, MD and Michael (Amber) Shepherd of Cincinnati; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Covert.

Friends may call Friday from 8-10 am in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd, Bridgeport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Anthony of Padua Catholic church, 630 Main St, Bridgeport on Friday at 10:30 am, with Father John Mucha and Msgr. George Coyne co-officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt Calvary Cemetery.
