Richard J. Orban

Richard J. Orban, 77, of Tiltonsville, OH died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Liza’s Place.  He was born August 22, 1940, in Yorkville, OH, a son of the late Joseph P. and Mary (Mitchell) Orban.  He was retired from the shipping department at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel in Yorkville, was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and was in the Holy Name Society.  Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran, served four tours in Vietnam, was a Green Beret, received two Bronze Stars, and was a member of the Yorkville V.F.W. Post 4811.   Richard is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Edith (Gribble) Orban; sons, Joseph Orban of Chesterfield, VA, Earl M. Brown, and Rusty A. Brown Sr. both of Powhatan, OH; daughters, Sylvia Partridge of Kansas City, KS, Mary Katherine Bradley of Silver Spring, MD, and Crystal (Tom) Cox of Jacobsburg, OH; sisters, Jacqueline Cawthorne of Wellsburg, WV, Marsha (Paul) Montenery of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Patricia (David) Weston of Reynoldsburg, OH; twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandsons.  Friends will be received Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 10am until time of service at 1pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main St., Tiltonsville, OH 43963 with Pastor James Hoff officiating.  Military graveside services conducted by the Yorkville V.F.W Post 4811.
