Addlaide Laverne "Alice" Mitchell, 86, of Barton, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, in Wheeling Hospital. She was born on September 1, 1935, in West Wheeling a daughter of the late Myrtle (Maine) and Carl Gill. Alice was a former member of the Country Style Line Dancers in Richmond, VA and worked for Costco also in Richmond.

She is survived by her children, Vickie (Jack) Booth, Howard Mitchell Jr., Carl Mitchell, Allen (Renate) Mitchell and Karen Sue (Chuck) Thompson; a stepbrother, Carl (Cathy) Furbee; 19 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Gill; stepfather, Carl Gill; a daughter, Elizabeth Twardoski; a sister, Jackie Baker and 4 angel great grandchildren.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-6 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside. Funeral service will be Thursday at 6 pm in the funeral home, with Reverend James Hoff officiating.
