Agnes Marie Mehlman, 87, of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, in her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Bridgeport on October 30, 1933, a daughter of the late Clyde Brown and Mildred (Yarek) Nagy.  Agnes was a member of the Colerain Presbyterian Church and retired from the Martins Ferry School District after many years of service as a school bus driver and teacher's aide.  She enjoyed baking, farming, reading and spending time with her family and her grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Judy (Bill) Theil, Kathy (Lanny) Wagner and Lyndee Brown; a son, James (Peggy) Mehlman; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Martone; a half-brother, Jack Nagy and several nieces and nephews.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Mehlman; a half-sister, Goldie Strefas; a half-brother, Larry Brown and her stepmother, Betty Brown.

Friends may call Monday from 11 am to 1 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 pm in the funeral home with Reverend Joe Ellis officiating.  Burial will follow in Farmington Cemetery.
