Obituary

Agnes Kovalski Agnes Kovalski, 94 went to eternal home on Saturday, April 19, 2003. She is survived by two loving daughters, Lillian Haber, Highland, IN, and Rose Marie (Commander Thomas) Dryden of Chesapeake, VA. Eight loving grandchildren, Charles Haber, Edward Kovalsky, a special friend, Daisy, Maureen (Ernest) Hughes, Colette Dryden, Thomas (Kimberly) Dryden, Steven (Ursula)Dryden, Colleen Rose and David (Janet) Kovalsky. Fifteen loving great grandchildren Edward, Teresa, Jennifer, Christine, Nicole, Tiffany, Thomas, Sean, Ashley, Ryan, Caitlin, Bryce, Alexis, Skylar and Colin. A loving great great grandchild Noah. Surviving are a loving sister , Sophie Simonich of Bedford, OH, loving sister-in-law Ann Kovalski, two brothers-in-law Theodore (Betty)Kovalski all of Mt. Pleasant, OH, and John Supinski, Stratford, CT, and many nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Adam Kovalski, son and daughter-in-law Edward and La Donna Kovalski, parents Mary and John Steklasa, parents-in-law Stanley and Josephine Kovalski, son-in-law Frank Haber, sister and brother-in-law Molly and Joseph Corvi, brother and sister-in-law Lieutenant Frank and Ann Zadell. Agnes was a dedicated member of St. Mary's Parish in Martins Ferry, OH for 65 years and was active in St. Mary's Catholic Women's Guild the Funeral Luncheon Guild, and SNPJ Lodge #62, Barton, OH. Her favorite pastimes were watching special TV programs, Mass and chatting with family and friends on the phone. With her talented fingers she created many beautiful afghans and generously gave them away to loved ones. Visitation will be held Mon. 4-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tues., 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Martins Ferry. Agnes was truly an angel on earth and will be missed by all who knew her. She was a loving wife for 49 years, loving mon, grandma, great grandma, daughter and sister to her family and in return was given a special love by them throughout her life. She leaves a legacy of love that will go on forever. She lived in her home for 65 years and was a special friend to all of her neighbors. She was also an employee of Martins Ferry Hospital for over 40 years, God Bless You, Darling Mom! "Rest in the Peace of Christ" that you well deserve! Rosary services Monday at 4:00 PM.
