Agnes Marie Tancek 87, of Mingo Junction, died Friday January 25, 2008 at Carriage Inn Home Care, Steubenville. She was born November 3, 1920 in Mingo Junction, daughter of the late John A. and Ann Rasko Buchmelter. Agnes was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Catholic Slovak Ladies Association and Saints Louis and Elizabeth Secular Franciscan Order Fraternity. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Joseph, Vincent, Edward and George Buchmelter; four sisters Clementine and Mary Buchmelter, Ann Maggs, and Helen Anderson. Agnes is survived by her husband Stephen P. Tancek; a sister Theresa Galownia of Steubenville and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home 115 Union Ave. Mingo Junction, where a Vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Father James Dunfee as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville
