Albert Matthew Mazur, 81 formerly of Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away,

Friday May 5th, 2023, at UVA Health Haymarket Medical Center in Gainesville,

Virginia. Son of the late Frank and Jessie (Kupski) Mazur, he was born

August 27th, 1941, in Wheeling, West Virginia. Ab was a retired high school

teacher and football/wrestling coach in the Buckeye Local School District.

He is survived by his wife, Joan(Purpura) Mazur, their daughters Gwynne Yoakum and

Tracy (Jack) Hickey, and their grandchildren Loren and Christopher Yoakum.

In addition, he is survived by his siblings, Charles "Bud" (Sarah) Mazur,

Sally (Don) Breiding, and Robert Mazur as well as many nieces and nephews.

All services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family.  Wilson Funeral Home of Bridgeport is assisting the family.
