Albert Joseph Novak, 84, of Martins Ferry, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in Country Club Nursing Center, Bellaire. He was born August 14, 1937, the only son of the late Albert and Helen (Vereb) Novak. Albert was Catholic by faith, served his country in the US Army, enjoyed gardening, was a talented artist and loved all dogs, especially spending time with his great nephew's dog Peach. He was also known for storytelling, a great sense of humor and loved watching classic movies He is survived by 3 nieces, Kathy Marino, Karen (Bob) Palmer and Kristy (David) Cipriano; a nephew, Don (Janet) Kinnan; two great nieces, Ashley Marino, and Claudia Palmer; and two great nephews, Lance Marino, and Bobby Palmer. Albert was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Kinnan. Friends may call Friday from 10 am to 12 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 pm in the Funeral Home with Father Thomas Marut officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, the Belmont County Veterans Association will perform Military honors. .
