Albert Dempsey Orr, 88, of Flushing, Ohio, died Thursday, March 06, 2014 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born January 3, 1926 in Sewellsville, Ohio, son of the late Albert L. Orr and Lydia E. Francis Orr. He was a retired coal miner from Allison Coal Mine. Albert was a wonderful husband and father and a friend to all that knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Brenton, Harry "Spike", and Norman Orr; brothers, Thomas, Clem, and Leslie Orr; and sisters, Mary, Shirley, and Martha. Albert is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary E. Orr; daughters, Janet Orr, Bonnie (Earl) Smith, Dawn (Ken) Morris, Loretta Orr, Tracy (Mike) Campise, Jamie (Steve) Miller; sons, Jerry (Kathy) Orr, Michael Orr; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Bernice Jacobs, Freda Clark, Helen Kimble; brothers, Ralph and Edgar Orr. Family and friends may visit, Sunday from 4 to 7 pm, Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio where the service will be conducted, Monday at 11 am. Pastor Bob Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing, Ohio.
