Together Again Albert V. Singer, 90, of Martins Ferry, OH died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born June 22, 1925 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Robert and Amelia I. (Altman) Singer. He was retired from the former Picoma Industries, Martins Ferry. Albert was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Post #38, all of Martins Ferry. Also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Pacific Theatre, WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara L. (Fletcher) Singer and brothers; William E., Robert and George Singer. Surviving are daughters; Mary Lynn (Bob) Hadzima of Martins Ferry and Linda (Rudolph) Fontana of Garden Ridge, TX, four grandchildren; Rodney (Dawn) Fontana, Ryan (Andrea) Fontana, Chris Hadzima and Kimberly Hadzima and five great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Monday, July 6, 2015 from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm with Rev. David Stammerjohn officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH. Military honors will be presented Monday at 12:45 pm in the funeral home by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Council of the American Legion, 70820 Crescent Rd., St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
