Albert Frederic Twardoski, 84, 0f Martins Ferry, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, in Wheeling Hospital. He was born on October 20, 1938, in New York, NY a son of the late Frank and Lucille (Truskowski) Twardoski. Albert served his country in the United States Marine Corp Reserve; was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel after 38 years of service.
He is survived by his four children, Debra Twardoski, Albert Twardoski, Denise Twardoski (Key Fondriest) and Ricky (Shannon) Twardoski; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a very dear family friend, Missy and his kitty, Peaches. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loretta (Edmonds) Twardoski; a twin brother, Charles Twardoski; an infant brother and sister; a grandson, George Gainer III; and a stepson, stepdaughter, and stepgranddaughter.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, Wednesday at 11 am, with Father Thomas Marut officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Military Honors provided by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
