Alberta E. (McHenry) Meyers, 78, of McMechen, WV, formerly of Hickory St., Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Feb. 15, 1931 in Tiltonsville, OH the only child of Walter L. and Esther (McGlothlin) McHenry. She was a retired teacher for the Martins Ferry City School District and a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward F. Meyers, two sons Edward W. Meyers and David B. Meyers, and a daughter Linda L. Meyers. Surviving are four grandchildren Kayla M. Meyers of Bethesda, OH, Dwayne E. Meyers and Elaine Williams both of Wheeling, WV, and Belinda L. Meyers of Martins Ferry, three great grandchildren Hailey S., Abbagail E., and Hayden Meyers. A special thank you to Dee Berisford, Mona Gauhn, Peggy Reinbold, and Jack Kessler for your friendship. Friends will be received Wednesday 4-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at 10:00 am with Pastor Larry Lewis officiating.
