Alberta E. (Warsinskey) Delbert, 93, of Newark, OH formerly of Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Aug. 4, 2014 at Arlington Care Center, Newark, OH. She was born Nov. 5, 1920 in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Christian and Bertha (Obermann) Warsinskey. She retired after 50 years as a Avon Representative where she received many awards and treated all as her friend. Alberta was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Delbert and brothers; Edward, Leo , Erland and Christian Warsinskey. Surviving are her daughters; Margie (Ralph) Singhaus of Newark, OH and Joan (John) Johnson of Ashville, OH, sons; John Delbert of Clawson, MI and Louis (Gail) Woodruff of Palm Bay, FL, seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH Friday, August 8, 2014 from noon till time of service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Phillip Van Dam officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the kind and caring staff and residents at Arlington Care Center.
