Alexander J. "Alex" Antosz, 86, of Martins Ferry, OH, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born October 28, 1927 a son of the late John and Catherine (Telesz) Antosz. Alex retired from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; Adolph and Anthony Antosz and sisters; Jenny Mason, Blanch Zalipski, Mildred Watson and Lottie Antosz. Surviving are his wife, Vivian M. (Harrison) Antosz, his sons; John M. Antosz of Martins Ferry and William (Margaret) Antosz of Colonial Beach, VA, his grandsons; William Antosz, II and Marc Antosz, brother-in-law, Harry Mason, and several nieces and nephews including Jeff Harrison and Tom (Pat) Harrison. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm where services will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Phillip Van Dam officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. John's Lutheran Church, 40 N.
