Alfred Eugene Curtis, 60, of Yorkville, OH died Saturday May 16, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center West, in Steubenville. He was born Oct. 20, 1848 at Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Velma Opal (Curtis) Steffel. Alfred was retired from the US Army, a Vietnam Veteran and a lifetime member of both the VFW and DAV. He is survived by a Daughter Tammy Hagermann OF Germany; two brothers, John LaNoy and his wife Sandra of Dillonvale, Shaun Flanagan and his wife Theresa of Wheeling; four sisters, Regina Wolfe and her husband Larry of Florida, Debbie Marling and her husband Dick of Barnesville, Betsy Billingsley and her husband Randy of Rayland, Kelly Cappellette and her husband Jerry of Wilmington, OH, and a Best Friend Patrick T. Thomas of Yorkville. Visitation will be on Thursday May 21, 2009 from 2 pm till time of service at 4 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 102 Main Street, Tiltonsville, OH. Rev. James Hoff will conduct services. Full military services will be held by the VFW Belmont County Council. A special Thank You go to Saundra and Kelly. Memorial contributions may be made to the DAV.
