Obituary

Alfred ?Al? Willis Freeman, 79, of Bellaire, died Saturday March 27, 2010 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born June 6, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, OH, the son of the late Elmer and Murtle (Miller) Freeman. Al was a farmer on the Griffith Farm in Adena, OH, a Deacon of the Apostolic Faith Temple in Martins Ferry, and a member of the Ohio District Council of Churches. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Suzanne Tyler, four brothers; Gilbert, Curtis, William, and Raymond Freeman, and five sisters; Pauline Freeman, Eulah Cole, Dorothy Jackson, Bertha Seals, and Mildred Hall. He is survived by his wife Margaret Ann (Short) Freeman; a granddaughter Shantina Romney and her husband Damion of Highsville, MD, a foster daughter Marie Overstreet and her husband Stanley of Bellaire, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, OH where services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday with Elder Thomas Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
