Alice M. (DeVault) Dennis, 95, of Mt. Pleasant Pike, Martins Ferry, OH died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born July 6, 1910 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late William E. and Anna Myrtle (Reese) DeVault. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Pleasant and the Colerain Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rylie W. Dennis, two brothers Kermit R. and William DeVault, and two sisters Edith Robinson and Pheobe DeVault. Surviving are two sons Winston L. (Constance) Dennis of Mantino, IL and Larry D. (Helen) Dennis of Martins Ferry, two daughters Dolores Spragg of Harrisville and Patricia (Mitchell) Wanat of Millersburg, OH, eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grand children, three great great grandchildren, and a brother-in-law R. Rupert (Floren) Dennis of St. Clairsville. Friends will be received Wed., 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Friends will then be received Thurs., Jan. 26, 2006, from 9 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM with Rev. Byron McElroy officiating at the First Presbyterian Church, Mt. Pleasant, OH. Burial follows in Short Creek Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 127, Mt. Pleasant, OH 43939.
