Alice V. Hood, 93, formerly of Scotch Ridge, Martins Ferry, OH, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Country Club Retirement Center, Bellaire, OH. She was born Feb. 14, 1919 in Adena, OH a daughter of the late Albert R. and Velma (McCue) Hood. She was a retried employee of the former City Loan of Martins Ferry. Alice attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, OH. Surviving are her good friend Marianne Cermac of Dillonvale, OH and numerous cousins including Vernon Schwender of Wheeling, WV and Ruth C. Crothers of Phoenix, AZ. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Highland Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, OH with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating.
