Alice E. Palmer 88, of Bridgeport formerly of Wheeling, died Monday January 20, 2014 at her home. She was born March 1, 1925 in Boydesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Louis and Katherine (East) Hess. She was a retired receptionist for the Dance Dimensions in Wheeling, and a member of the Greggsville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son John Palmer, a daughter Mary Lou Wilson, a great grandson Grant Huonker, and a sister Elizabeth Ann Eddy. Alice is survived by her sons Buddy Palmer of Cape Coral FL., and Pastor Michael (Linda) Palmer of Triadelphia, daughters Charlotte Berisford of Cape Coral FL., Sandra Junkins of Triadelphia, and Aletia (Bill) White of Bridgeport, two brothers Louis Hess of New Matamoras, Ohio and Charles Hess of Greisham, OR., 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, a nephew Russ Hess, and several other nieces and nephews. She was also known as grandma to everyone who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Thursday January 23, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, where services will be held on Friday at11 am with Rev.
