Obituary

Allen Lee Bell 75, of Brookside passed away Wednesday January 22, 2025, at Shadyside Care Center. He was born on September 13, 1949, in Wheeling, a son of the late Paul and Betty (Hatton) Bell.

He was the Owner and Operator of the former Lansing Gulf Station

A retired bus driver for the Bridgeport School System for 30 years, a member of the First Christian Church Martins Ferry, the PNA Lodge in Martins Ferry and Fairpoint. Allen loved hunting and fishing, and he went frog gigging, he was also a Veteran in the US Army.

Allen is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Alice (Garrett) Bell, his daughters Alicia (Jason) Cross, and Tere Baker both of Bridgeport, a brother Paul (Joyce) Bell of St. Clairsville, seven grandchildren Jessica Nolan, Dylan Nolan, Brianna (Aren) McMahon, Kalee Cross, Triston Baker, Hunter Baker, and Cayden Baker, four great grandchildren Beck McMahon, Ava Offenberger, Maeve McMahon, and Jerremiah Offenberger.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Saturday January 25, 2025, from 11 am till the time of service at 1 pm, with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Private interment will be held at the convience of the family.
