Obituary

Allen E. Mann, 86, of Bethesda, passed away at home on August 23, 2022.  He was born on November 6, 1935, a son of the late Orrie and Vesta Mann.  Allen retired as a Federal Mine Inspector and served as a Board Member for Union Local Schools for 36 years.  He was a member of Union Local Booster Club and continued to enjoy going to school events.  He was a past member of the Belmont County Saddle Club and helped with 4H projects.  He was a member of the Church of Christ in Belmont.  He enjoyed gardening and spending time with family especially going to his grandchildren and great grandchildren's events.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Myra Mann, and siblings, Exma VanFossen, Robert Mann, Ester Conway and Richard Mann.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lorraine Bernier; children, Lisa (Duane) Powell, Eric (Christine) Mann; grandchildren, Zack Powell, Brant (Liz) Powell; great-grandchildren, Gatlin and Bexlee; and siblings, Violet Marley, Dan Mann, and Patsy Christman.

Friends are invited to visit on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 1pm to 5pm at Wilson Funeral Home, Bethesda Chapel, 322 N. Main St., Bethesda, Ohio 43719.  The service will be at 5pm.  Honoring Allen's wishes, cremation will follow and burial at Ebenezer cemetery will occur at the convenience of the family.
