Alma E. (Buchanan) Thoburn, 84 of Stamm Ave, Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Broadway St., Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Sept. 18, 2004 at UPMC Southside Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. She was born June 30, 1920 in Pleasant Grove, OH a daughter of the late Sam and Ella (Major) Buchanan. In additions to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ralph "Bill" Thoburn. Surviving are a son Thomas Majors and his wife Donna of Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter Karen Blackwell and her husband Boyd of Dellroy, OH a half- sister Dolores Potoski of Adena, OH, ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tues. 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Sept. 22, 2004 at 1:00 PM with Jerry Huntsman officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
