Andrew J. Koteles Andrew J. "Andy" Koteles, 87, of Salesville, OH, formerly of N. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Wed., Oct. 30, 2002 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. He was born Oct. 11, 1915 in Martins Ferry a son of the late Julius and Mary (Babaresik) Koteles. He was retired from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Andy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and Bridgeport Eagles Aerie 995. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie E. (Gooding) Koteles, brothers Joseph and Julius Koteles, and a sister Mary Groza. Surviving are two sons Michael Koteles of Orange Park, FL and Stephen Koteles and his wife Chris of Martins Ferry, OH; four daughters Susan Mayeres of Summersville, SC, Roxanne Koteles and her fiancé Alan Smith of Cary, NC, Rosanne Halapin and her husband Richard of Indiana, PA, and Maryanne Westfall and her husband Fred of Salesville, OH; seven grandchildren Jason Cox, Chuck and Samantha Davis, Steve and Andy Koteles, and Natalie and Alan Halapin; two great grandchildren Chelsea Davis and Madison Taylor Cox. Friends will be received Fri. 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Sat. at 1:00 PM with Fr. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Rosary devotions will be recited Fri. at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
