Andrew John Semancik Jr., 79, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 in Forest Hill Nursing Center.  He was born on June 25, 1943, in Wheeling the only son of Andrew and Anna (Gerevics) Semancik Sr.  Andy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and retired from Windsor Coal Company.   His one true passion in life was spending time with his grandchildren.

Andy is survived by his wife of 58 years who he married on June 13, 1964, Sarah "Sally" (Hohman) Semancik; three children, Steven (Judy) Semancik, Susan (Chris) Mattingly and Scott Semancik; five grandchildren, Tyler (Katie) Semancik, Lexie (John Grace) Semancik, Gabbie Semancik, Andrew and Tommy Mattingly; twin great grandsons, Ryan and Rowan Semancik; a brother-in-law, John Wodarcyk; and a former daughter-in-law, Dana Semancik.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Anna Wodarcyk.

Friends may call Thursday from 3-7 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 am in the ST. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Ave., Bridgeport with Father John Mucha officiating.  Entombment will follow in Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, Wheeling.
