Ann E. (Shemenski) Casshie, 88, of Martins Ferry, OH died Monday, Mar. 26, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. She was born Sept. 6, 1918 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Frank and Agatha (Sharek) Shemenski. She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Patsy Casshie, four brothers Walter, John, Andrew, and Stanley Shemenski, and four sisters Nell Rees, Theresa Vickers, Frances Migdol, and Mary Klus. Surviving are her daughter Pattie (Louis) Suriano of Martins Ferry, a brother Joe Shemenski of Newcomerstown, OH, two granddaughters, Luanne (James) Johnson of Colerain, OH, and Trisha (Brian) Goddard of Martins Ferry and three great grandchildren Jacob and Dylan Johnson and Samantha Goddard. Friends will be received Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday, Mar. 30, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Burial follows in St. Marys Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Rosary devotions will be recited Thursday at 3:00 PM in the funeral home.
