Anna M. "Anna Mae" (McAndrew) Murray, 84, of S. 5th St., Martins Ferry died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013 at her home. She was born in July 14, 1929 in Midland, PA a daughter of the late Charles B. and Helen F. (Richards) McAndrew. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and a former employee of East Ohio Regional Hospital, Ohio Valley General Hospital, the Martins Ferry Times-Leader, and Model Cities. Anne was a volunteer at the East Ohio Regional Hospital and she served as a regular volunteer at the annual Martins Ferry Strawberry Festival. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Sarah Louise Plotz, sisters-in-law; Dorothy McAndrew and Lillian McAndrew, and her nephew Charles F. McAndrew, Jr. Surviving are her brothers; James W. McAndrew of Wichita, KS and Charles F. McAndrew of Greenville, NC, a brother-in-law Robert L. Plotz of Martins Ferry, nephews and nieces; Jane (David) Barton, Helen Marie Marshall, Mark (Mona) McAndrew, Rita McAndrew, Kevin (Debbie) McAndrew, Brian (Linda) McAndrew, Shawn and Craig McAndrew, Robert C. Plotz and Richard (Kelli) Plotz, and many grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Friends will be received Sunday Aug. 18, 2013 from 2-4 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 19, 2013 at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry, with Fr. Tom Marut officiating. Burial follows in St. Mary's Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
