Anna E. Needs Anna E. (Tankovits) Needs, 86 , formerly of N. 9th Street, Martins Ferry, OH, died Thurs., Feb. 7, 2002 at Park Health Center, St. Clairsville. She was born Jul. 23, 1915 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Berher) Tankovits. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Garland W. Needs, three brothers Martin, Joseph and Frank Tankovits and three sisters Mary Tankovits, Amelia Starr and Elizabeth Basista. Surviving are three sisters Rose Tankovits of Martins Ferry, Velma Welsh of St, Clairsville and Theresa Rupich of Warwood, WV. Friends will be received Sun. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Mon. at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Fr. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Rosary devotions will be recited Sun. at 3:00 PM followed by Wake services at 7:30 PM both in the funeral home.
