Annie May Turek, 89, formerly of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed Saturday November 19, 2016 at Valley Hospice South, Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV. She was born March 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Orville and Henrietta Carpenter Moreland. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Turek, a brother John Moreland, sisters: Betty Trouten and Orvella Green. Annie was a member of First United Methodist Church, Kirkwood, Eagles Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary, Bridgeport Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, Volunteer for Belmont County Crippled Children and Adults, Democratic Committee, Belmont County Election Board and Bridgeport Order of Eastern Star. She was also a retired employee of JC Penney's. Annie is survived by sons: Ronald (Marsha) Turek of Hampton, VA, Nikolas (Dan - Libby) Turek of FL, a daughter Jo Ann (Mark) Connor of Bridgeport; grandchildren: Joseph (Amber) , Timothy (Jennifer), Steven (Gungaa), Jessica (Bill) Morgan, Mickeal Connor and great-grandchildren: Katlyn and Ashleigh Turek. Friends will be received Tuesday November 22, 2016, 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, with Rev. James Hoff officiating.
