Obituary

Anthony M. ""Tony"" Danko, 63, of Mingo Junction, died Sunday July 25, 2010 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville,OH. He was born June 19, 1947 in Steubenville,OH, the son of the late William and Anna (Danko) Kalish. Tony was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and worked in the Consolidated Lab - Mingo Junction Plant, he was a member of the Polish Athletic Club - Steubenville, S.O.A.R, and St. Agnes Catholic Church, and a US Army veteran in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a sister Rose Kalish. Surviving are his wife, Karen ""Susie"" (Means) Danko; a dughter Jennifer Danko of Carrolton, OH; a son Christopher M. Danko and his wife Shannon of Vancleave, MS; three sisters Cathy Kalish of Steubenville,OH, Debbie Bodnar and her husband Chuck of Wintersville,OH, Rebecca Kalish of Steubenville,OH; Mother-in-law JoAnne Means of Steubenville,OH; three sisters-in-law, Jean Cline and her husband Charles of Toronto, OH, Bobbie Jo Kosikowski of Mingo Junction, OH, Robin Davidson and her husband Dwaine of Steubenville, OH; four nieces; four nephews; two great nephews; and one great niece. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday July 27, 2010 at Blaschalk - Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Avenue, Mingo Junction. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Wednesday July 28, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Mingo Junction with Fr. Timothy Shannon as celebrant.Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Junction.
