Anthony J. "Joe" Antosz, 83, of Bridgeport, OH died Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born November 4, 1933 in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Andrew and Stella (Olinski) Antosz. He retired from the Martins Ferry Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. Joe was a member of the American Legion Post #38, Martins Ferry and also a veteran of the U. S. Army, Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Pappas) Antosz. Surviving are his children; Andrew (Janet) Antosz and Tonia (Mark, Sr.) Scammell all of St. Clairsville, OH, sister; Jane Howley of St. Albans, WV and Andrea (Dan) Barritt of St. Clairsville, OH and four grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00 am with Daniel Barritt officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Military services will be held by the by the Belmont County Council of the American Legion Thursday at 10:45 am at the funeral home.
