Anthony Leonard, 70 of Bridgeport, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born April 8, 1952, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Anthony and Madelyn Leonard.

He was a retired Police Officer of Bridgeport, also he was a member of the Foresters Club, Sportsmen Club – Lansing, Bridgeport Eagles and the American Legion Post #38 in Martins Ferry and Post #52 in Bellaire.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Edward Leonard.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Brenda (Givens) Leonard, children; Caitlin Leonard of PA, Vernon Hynes of St. Clairsville, Charles Hynes (Jeanette) of Yorkville, James Hynes of Bridgeport, Jennie (John) Perdok of Bridgeport, Robin (Brian) Anderson of Barnesville, Robert Mann (Kelly) of Bridgeport, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and his faithful cat Dusti complete the family.

Family and friends will be welcomed at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 Nation Rd, Brookside on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 11 to time of service at 1pm with Pastor Brad Johnson officiating. Burial to follow at the Weeks Cemetery in Bridgeport.

The family would like to "Thank" the wonderful and caring staff of the OSU James Cancer Center and Wexner Medical Center for the exceptional care shown to Anthony and the family during his stay.
