PETRELLA, Anthony "Tony" John "Yodels" Sr., 87, of Florida, formerly of Mingo Junction, Ohio, died Tuesday October 26, 2010 at home. He was born at Mingo Junction on May 1, 1923, a son of the late Jesse and Felicia Christopher Petrella. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Anthony John Petrella Jr. He was a retired member of the U.S. Navy, serving in both WWII and Korean wars. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Mae Swartz Petrella; two daughters: Janis J. Kapp and her husband John of Whitesville, NJ., Felicia Sciolino of Warton, NJ., a sister Beatrice Plesz of Venice, Fla., and a daughter in law, Susan Petrella of Hope, NJ., grandchildren: Christopher and Anthony Sciolino, Felicia Giberson and her husband, Jim; 2 great-grandchildren: Stephanie, Jennifer Giberson. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Avenue, Mingo Junction, Ohio where vigil service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday November 2, 2010 at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend James Dunfee, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville with Military Honors provided by Brilliant American Legion.
