Obituary

CAPOBIANCO, Antonia Elizabeth, 88, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, died Saturday March 27, 2010 at Trinity West. She was born in McMechen, W.Va., on December 13, 1921, a daughter of the late Vincent and Filomena Antonucci DeCrease. Antonia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her years of life, she enjoyed cooking and dancing. She was also a retired employee of Marsh Wheeling Stoggie and Bobbie Brooks; a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and also a member of the Catholic Women's Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Capobianco; and seven brothers: Anthony, Aukey, Domonick, Frank, John, Philip and Daniel DeCrease. Antonia is survived by two sons: Philip Capobianco Jr. (Donna) of Follansbee, W.Va., and Daniel Capobianco (Nancy) of Clayton, Ohio; two daughters: Elaine Burris (Kenneth) of Acworth, GA, and Theresa Kontra (Ronald) of Mingo Junction; two brothers: Jerome ?Jerry? (Claudette) DiCresce, and Angelo ?Chick? (Erma) DiCrease, all of McMechen; grandchildren: Jennifer (David) Douglass, Bryan (Tammy) Burris, Brock (Misi) Burris; Christopher (Jennifer) Capobianco; Carrie (Aaron) Monseau; Nicole Bigler; Stacie (Daniel) Kontra; Tracie (Doug) Kontra; Ryan (Carri) Kontra; and eleven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Blaschalk "" Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Avenue, Mingo Junction, Ohio where vigil service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday March 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, with Reverend James M. Dunfee, as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Steubenville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
