Obituary

Antonios “Tony” N. Kefalos, 97 of St. Clairsville passed away peacefully Sunday, July 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 7, 1929, in Bridgeport, the son of the late Nickolas and Vasilicos (Amaxis) Kefalos.

Tony was retired from the former Imperial Clevite, a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Life-Giving Fountain. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Korean War where he received the Purple Heart. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend to all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Cosmos, and George Kefalos, sister, Mary Kefalos.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 71 years, Delores (Maistros) Kefalos, children, Gus (Dolores) Kefalos, John (Jackie) Kefalos, Mark Kefalos, Karen (Doug) Cochran, Stacey (Albert) Vargas, and 8 grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Friday July 10, 2026, at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935 from 11 till time of Service at 1pm, with Fr. Michael Ziebarth officiating, full Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the Belmont County Veterans Association at the Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
