RALPH "ART" YOUNG, 92, of Bridgeport, died Monday, August 18, 2008 at Belmont Manor in St. Clairsville. He was born August 29, 1915 in Bridgeport, the son of the late Ralph and Hannah (Costine) Young. Art was a retired meat cutter with the Dillonvale and Cadiz CO-OP's after 44 years. He was a member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Nevada) Young; and two sisters Lois Jean Hamilton and Ruth Herbold. Art is survived by a sister Margaret Charlton and her husband Jack of Bridgeport as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday 3-7 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm with Reverend David Demarest officiating. Interment will follow at Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport.
