ATTORNEY DAVID L. BARNES

Attorney David L. Barnes, age 88, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia.

He was born August 28, 1931 in Ottumwa, Iowa to the late Hubert and Marjorie Barnes. He is a retired Lt. Colonel from the Marine Corps.  He was a graduate of Notre Dame Law School in February 1969.  He worked as a prosecuting attorney for Belmont County for 14 years and retired as an attorney after 55 years of service.

In addition to his parents, his sister, Marjorie preceded him in death.

Dave is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Michael and Denise Barnes; daughter, Shari and Mike Williamson; along with his grandchildren.

Family, friends, and others, whose lives Dave touched, are invited to Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda on Monday, November 11, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, to reminisce, support, and celebrate his life.  The service for Dave will follow visitation on Tuesday, beginning at 2:00 pm.  Pastor Tim Snyder will officiate.  Interment will take place following the service, at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
