Barbara Ann Hostage, 66 passed away July 21, 2021, surrounded by her loving children at her son's home in Boston, Massachusetts. Barbara was formally of Martins Ferry, Ohio.   Barbara was born in Wheeling WV, the daughter of the late Peter and Emilia (Thomas) Misko.

Barbara was the Director for the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington DC, and was a member of St. Raphael's Parish of Potomac, Maryland.

She is survived by her children, Dr. Christopher (Dr. Jean) Hostage Jr., Dr. Margaret Hostage of Boston, Michael Hostage of New York City, Joseph Hostage of Maryland, Sister Diane Misko of Martins Ferry, and brother Thomas Misko of Chicago.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, from 10 – 12 noon at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside.  Funeral Service and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.  Fr. John Mucha will conduct the service.
