Barbara Mae Phillippi, 89, of Wheeling formerly of Adena, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home.  She was born on October 14, 1930 in Wheeling a daughter of the late William and Sarah (Voitle) Vargo.  She was a member of the Piney Fork Presbyterian Church, Piney Fork American Legion Auxiliary and retired from Marsh Wheeling Stogie after many years of service.

Barbara is survived by a sister, Shirley McCardle; 3 nephews, Joe (Toni) Phillippi, Tom (Jullie) Phillippi and Lance (Julie) Williams and a niece, Deborah (Donald) Waddell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arthur "Buck" Phillippi in 2006 and a sister Jean Campbell.

Friends may call Sunday from 2-7 pm in the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second St., Dillonvale.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 am in the Piney Fork Presbyterian Church, 2462 County Rd. 11, Dillonvale, with Pastor Jim Taylor officiating.  Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Piney Fork American Legion Post 735, 350 County Rd. 11, Piney Fork, OH  43941 in Barbara's memory.
