Ben L. "Cap" Cappelletti Sr., 90, of St. Clairsville, OH died December 21, 2018 at Senior Suites at St. Clair Commons.  He was born August 4, 1928 a son of the late Luigi and Yolanda (Sirtoli) Cappelletti.  Ben was retired from the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel plant in Martins Ferry, and was the former owner of the Homeside Bar.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church as well as the St. Clairsville American Legion and V.F.W.  He was also an avid golfer.  Ben was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea where he earned three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 65 years, Betty (Funari) Cappelletti.   Ben is survived by his sons, Ben (Dana) Cappelletti, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Bill (Kelly) Cappelletti of St. Clairsville, OH; daughters, Beth (William) Pollock, Beverly (Chuck) Robinson, both of St. Clairsville; brother, William Cappelletti of St. Clairsville; eleven grandchildren, Angela, Lucas and Shane Cappelletti, William and Bryant Cappelletti, Nolan, Justine and Dustin Rice, Alyssa, Lexie and Olivia Robinson; and eleven great-grandchildren.  Ben's family would like to thank all of the employees at Senior Suites for their care and compassion.  Family and friends will be received Friday, December 28th from 9am until 11am at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH 43912.  Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 218 W Main St., St. Clairsville with Fr. Thomas Chillog serving as celebrant.   Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
