Bernard "Benny" Bodnar, 78, of Bridgeport, OH, passed Saturday January 2, 2016 at East Ohio Regional Hospital. He was born in Baxter, WV, on June 5, 1937, a son of the late Frank W. and Jenny Trykowski Bodnar. He was a retired employee of Tri State Asphalt, a member of Lansing Sportsman's Club, Foresters, and the Hazelwood Hills Boat Club. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Betty Jane Ducker and a brother Frank Bodnar. Benny is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Anita A. (Geimer) Bodnar; a son Steve (Terri) Frasnelli of Bridgeport; sisters: Frances Josefczyk of Akron, OH, Mary Ann Kominsky of Blaine, Josephine Miller of Lansing, a granddaughter Miranda Frasnelli, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday January 7, 2016 at 10:00a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wolfhurst, with Rev. John Mucha as celebrant.
