Obituary

Bernard F. Faldowski Sr., 73, of Rayland died Saturday December 3, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Martins Ferry. He was born on July 12, 1938 in Adena. He was son of the late Frank and Anna (Yanda) Faldowski. He was a retired employee of Consol Coal Co., a member of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church (Dillonvale), the Pine Valley Sportsman's Club and the United Mine Workers Local #1506. Bernie loved to hunt, travel and spend time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and James Faldowski and a sister, Mary Ann Dziewatkoski.Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 49 ½ years Rose Mary (Chmelovsky) Faldowski; two sons, Bernie Faldowski Jr. of North Canton and Brian (Lynnette) Faldowski of Streetsboro; two daughters, Janet (Richard) Faldowski-McFarlan of Westerville, and Denise (William) Faldowski-Notbohm of Colorado Springs, Co; and three brothers, Frank (Nancy) Faldowski and Andrew Faldowski both of Dillonvale and Elliott (Sharon) Faldowski of Mashallville. Friends are invited to celebrate Bernie's life on Wednesday December 7, 2011 from 2-8 pm with a wake service beginning at 8pm at Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church on Thursday at 11am with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating, interment at Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove.
