Bernice B. (Brown) Darrah, 91, went home on Dec. 16, 2007, to be with her husband of sixty-six years, Carl, her parents Louis and Lucy (Carter) Brown, her brothers Walter, Duane and Delmar, and her sister Thea, who have all gone before her. Bernice, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, has lived the past three years with family in Toledo, OH. Bernice worked many years as a buyer for the former L. S. Goods Dept. Store of Wheeling, WV. She was active in the First U. Methodist Church of Martins Ferry and enjoyed spending her free time sewing and doing needlework. She is survived by her son Dave and daughter-in-law Peggy of Toledo and son Jack and his wife Karyl, of Tipp City, OH, six grandsons and many great- grandchildren. Mom will be sadly missed by the many people she touched throughout her long life. Family and friends will be received Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007 from 10am until time of services at 1:00 pm with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry. Burial follows at Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Memorial contributions may be made to the First U.
