Crane, Bettie L. 84 of Brookside, died Friday June 22, 2012 at Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside. She was born June 10, 1928 in Boydsville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen Blazek Klan. She was a retired bus driver for the Bridgeport School System, a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Bridgeport, the Catholic Daughters of St. Anthony, and a member of the lady's Aux. of the American Legion . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband William Calvin Crane Sr. in 2001, a son William Calvin "Billy" Crane Jr., a brother Frank Klan, and sisters Rose Miller and Millie Klan-Beazel. Surviving are her three closest nephews William F."Bill" Miller and his wife Gloria of Martins Ferry, Brian Miller and his wife Evelyn of Bridgeport, and David Beazel and his wife Vickie of Martins Ferry, and several other nieces and nephews, also her great-niece Melissa Kenefick, and great nephews Brian Miller Jr. and Mark Miller. Evelyn Miller has been her faithful loving companion and caregiver. Friends and family are invited for a celebration of Bettie's life on Wednesday June 27, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside. And then on Thursday from 10 till 10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church Bridgeport, with Fr. John Mucha officiating, interment in Holly Memorial Gardens Pleasant Grove. Wake service will be recited on Wednesday at 2 pm at the Funeral Home.
