Bettie Ann Waldren, 84, of Knoxville, Tennessee and formerly of Bethesda, Ohio, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Shannondale Nursing Home. She was born September 28, 1931 in Belmont, Ohio, daughter of the late George R. McFarland and Jessie I. Nichols McFarland.
When Bettie and her husband, Eldon were first married, they lived in Newark, Ohio, later moving to Barnesville. Bettie later moved to Bethesda until her health began to fail, at which time, she moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she could be closer to her son and daughter-in-law. She was a true lady, always being kind and compassionate. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Waldren; son, Michael Bunting; an infant daughter; and brother, Jim McFarland.
Bettie is survived by her grandchildren, Samantha Simpson, Michael (Tonia) Trent, William Trent, Marcella Madewell, Jonathan Trent; great-grandchildren, Bree (Josh) Banefske, Deanna, Autumn, and Cameron Madewell, Kelsey, Cory, and Michaela Trent; daughter-in-law, Barbara Bunting; and nephews, Kim, Toby, Kevin McFarland and their families.
Honoring Bettie's wishes, there will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be conducted at the convenience of her family.
